Task 2: Documentation of the Planning Process

The hazard plan document in the form of a written record should explain how the plan was developed for each jurisdiction. It should include the scope, schedule and actions that help prepare and develop the plan, and list all the members involved in the planning process. The document can also describe the selection process of the planning team members and the contribution of each team member to the planning process.

Multi-jurisdictional plans should recognize the representatives of each jurisdiction. Their plan document must include at least the position or title of the agency or person. The mitigation plan intends to provide a resource for the community. So the plan document must give enough details to recognize and coordinate with those organizations that were involved in the planning process, in case your community opts for updating the existing plan.

Documentation of the existing planning process is required to update the current plan.
