Task 4: Community Capability Review

Documentation of Community Capabilities

Your community’s hazard mitigation plan should describe what current reports, studies, plans, and technical information were appraised, and how significant information was integrated. Documentation means to give realistic proof of the development of the mitigation plan. This can be accomplished with a narrative description or could be demonstrated in other formats. For instance, the relevant sources can be offered in a list or table format and described how information was included. Also, footnotes or citations on the entire document may exhibit the integration of other plans.

If you opt for multi-jurisdictional plans, each participating jurisdiction’s capabilities ought to be assessed and documented separately. For updates in the existing plan, the planning team needs to efficiently document the capabilities and highlight any changes in capability from the preceding plan.
